Huidong is an affectionate and gentle boy. He is loving, full of warmth, soft-natured, playful, and incredibly kind. His gentle and affectionate demeanor makes people fall for him quickly. He loves to be held and happily stays close to his caregiver. He is not shy around strangers regardless of gender, and greets everyone with a warm and open heart. His energy level is well-balanced at a medium level — he enjoys playtime and walks but also loves resting comfortably by your side. He is very intelligent and eager to bond. He gets along well with other dogs, especially calm and friendly ones. As long as the other dog isn't overly aggressive or hyperactive, he willingly shares his space and shows good sociability. He has never met a cat before, so homes with cats would need a slow and proper introduction. During his quarantine period after rescue, he was calm and quiet, showed no separation anxiety, and didn't bark unnecessarily. He has never shown destructive behavior and enjoys playing with toys. He travels well in cars, adapts easily to new environments, and was so well-behaved and cooperative at the vet clinic that everyone praised him. He handles baths the same way — he trusts people and allows gentle handling. He walks beautifully on a leash and, while still learning, follows his caregiver well and genuinely enjoys his walks. He occasionally shows curiosity about his surroundings but quickly refocuses. He has been neutered/spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He has completed deworming and receives monthly internal and external parasite prevention. He is young and healthy with no known allergies. He maintains excellent health, eating dry kibble twice daily. Laid-back and affectionate, he gets along well with both people and other dogs, making him suited to various lifestyles. He can thrive as an only dog receiving all the love, or as a second dog with a friendly companion. An ideal family would be one that can spend lots of time together and won't leave him alone for long stretches — someone who works from home, is retired, or has a flexible schedule.
