Wanju County Shelter - Taepyeong's Adoption Story

Taepyeong has found a family. In September 2025, it was just before the Wanju County shelter closed its doors. From that shelter, Brown Rescue Team brought out a puppy who had been classified for euthanasia. Though he always wore a smile to match his name, he still struggled in crowded places and with unfamiliar sounds. For Taepyeong, a family appeared who would sit and wait with him for an hour until he felt calm. After one month of temporary foster care with the goal of adoption, permanent adoption was finally confirmed. The wary look in his eyes has disappeared. Now he opens his heart to his family with soft, gentle eyes and showers them with affection without hesitation. He's even willing to give his head to neighbors and show them his belly. Starting the day at four in the morning with his new dad and taking a walk for over an hour before work has become Taepyeong's new routine.
