Introduction & Observation Notes
Sogeum is a Corgi and Jindo Dog mix—an affectionate, bright, and friendly girl with a wonderfully gentle nature. She may be a bit shy with people she's just met, but with patience and kindness, she opens her heart and becomes a loyal shadow, following you from room to room once she feels secure. She has always shown excellent manners with other dogs and prefers calm, friendly companions, preferring to avoid overly energetic or pushy dogs. She especially loves playing with dogs who share her gentle temperament and energy level. While she has no experience living with cats, her calm and affectionate nature suggests she would do well with a slow, proper introduction. During her foster period in Korea, she adapted beautifully to home life, enjoyed walks, and had good leash manners. However, after the long flight to Canada and the major life transition, she is currently quite nervous and cautious when going outside wearing a harness. We hope she can find a home with a securely fenced backyard where she can regain her confidence at her own pace. She has always shown patience during baths, vet visits, and car rides. She currently uses indoor pee pads and loves quietly following her foster carer around. Sogeum is an affectionate, loving, and loyal girl with moderate energy levels. As she continues adjusting to her new life in Canada, she needs a patient and understanding family who can give her time to rebuild her sense of security and confidence. Adopters with prior dog experience would be ideal, and at this stage, a single-family home with a securely fenced backyard is very important. Having a calm, friendly dog in the home would greatly help Sogeum. She is a sweet girl who only needs someone willing to give her a second chance and a little time to feel safe again—and in return, she will become an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
