Introduction & Observation Notes
Basic Temperament: Friendly and affectionate with people. Tends to dislike rough play from other dogs.
With People: Loves people very much and is quite affectionate—may lean against you with his large frame asking for cuddles. 'Sit', 'Paw' and other basic commands are well-trained. However, he may growl to express his feelings when he doesn't want to do something or is in an uncomfortable situation.
With Other Dogs: Gets along perfectly fine with other dog friends, but dislikes having his rest time interrupted, so he benefits from structured social interaction.
Energy Level: Relatively low energy, but absolutely loves tug-of-war and ball games.
Ideal Home: A comfortable and stable environment suitable for a senior dog, with an adopter who can handle a large breed.
Special Notes: His leg joints are sensitive, so weight management is important. He may show strong possessive behavior over food and toys.
