Chekers was brought to the Anseong City Animal Shelter in 2024. Unfortunately, her original family could not be found, and she was scheduled for euthanasia. However, when Brown Rescue Team learned of her situation, we rescued her to protect this precious life. We will continue to care for Chekers at our adoption center until she finds her new family.
Introduction & Observation Notes
Chekers is a wonderfully friendly and affectionate friend who loves people of all ages and backgrounds. She absolutely adores physical affection and expresses her love enthusiastically—sometimes her hugs are so heartfelt they can be overwhelming! She also gets along beautifully with other dogs regardless of size, playing politely and interacting healthily with everyone from small breeds to large dogs.
She has a naturally flexible temperament and adapts quickly to new environments. However, since she has spent most of her time in confined spaces, she will benefit from gradual, positive exposure to busy urban areas and stimulus-rich environments like parks. She also has high energy levels and will need plenty of exercise.
Her motivation for food is somewhat lower than average, which may limit training that relies solely on treats. However, since she loves people and is naturally active, you'll form an even deeper bond with her by using exciting toy play, genuine praise, and gentle affection as rewards rather than food treats.
