Basic Temperament: Haena gave birth in the shelter and was rescued along with her three puppies. She loves food and gets along well with other dogs, but is still a bit shy around human touch. She occasionally barks at people, but shows no aggression, and will warm up to you as you offer treats. When someone she's bonded with calls her, she'll jump up from her nap and run right over. She prefers to rest in shaded or cool spots rather than play actively with other dogs. With People: Recently, she's been practicing getting used to human contact with her caregiver. She's improving every day and should open her heart soon. When the caregiver has treats, she approaches with a bright, happy expression from far away. When she first arrived at the center, she wouldn't allow touching, but recently she's been accepting head pets and neck scratches when treats are involved. With Other Dogs: She gets along better with dogs similar in size rather than smaller dogs, and doesn't play too roughly.
