Joi takes a little time to warm up to people. Even with familiar faces, she may startle if someone suddenly reaches out to pet her. When Joi approaches you first, she'll relax and feel comfortable if you gently stroke her fur—you'll see her eyes softly close in contentment. Joi gets along well with all her friends without much friction. However, she finds it overwhelming when others approach too eagerly. Among them, she's closest with her best friend Happy. During playtime in the yard, Joi will only bound outside if Happy comes out first. Joi is a sweet girl who prefers napping over roughhousing with her friends.
