Hodong was rescued in February 2023 from a slaughterhouse on Ganghwa Island. Shortly after rescue, he showed aggressive tendencies and lived in a training facility for approximately one year. He is now building trust and showing positive interaction with adoption center staff. However, careful consideration is still needed before he is ready for placement in a regular home.
