Basic Temperament: Alpi is a dog who prefers people over other dogs. He approaches people affectionately and loves being petted. He has a bit of a jealous streak, and when you're petting another dog, he'll nudge his face in and make it clear he wants attention too!
With People: He has low wariness of strangers. If you sit on the floor, he'll come up to you and gently push his head under your hand asking for pets—he's a proactive pup!
With Other Dogs: While he sometimes plays chase games with other dogs, he prefers people to playtime. He's most calm and stable around larger dogs rather than those his own size. If another dog is being petted, he'll gently nudge them aside to get the attention instead.
Energy Level: Medium
Ideal Home: A family that can focus on and shower Alpi with love. Since he loves being the center of attention, we recommend he be the only dog.
Special Notes: Currently undergoing heartworm treatment. To help manage his excitement, yard play is limited and he's living primarily indoors, though he occasionally shows interest in going outside by climbing the fence. If your home has a yard, a solid fence is safer than a chain-link fence. If he must be left alone in an area with a fence, supervision via camera or from a distance is necessary.
