The Story of Malli, Living in Yongin

Two Weeks with Malli,

Hello, Brown Cafe family.

The first few days, a time of awkwardness between us...

At first, Malli was very shy around strangers and quite timid, so she got scared when people approached during walks.
Perhaps because the house was unfamiliar after arriving somewhere new, Malli
stayed only indoors for a while.
Back then I didn't know what I should do for her, so I just watched carefully.
Malli, who used to run away whenever I approached, gradually began to stay by my side as time went on. It was a tiny change, but you can't imagine how much joy it brought me.

Walks
The first day we went outside, we were both nervous. Up until the third day of walks, every single step was taken with care, but now, in the second week, going outside has become much more familiar.

Two Weeks Later
What Malli taught me over these two weeks is "waiting." Adoption doesn't end on the day you bring them home — it's the beginning of a time when you learn to tune your hearts to each other. I'm still learning, and Malli is slowly opening her heart too.

First Grooming — a Neat and Tidy Malli
Entering the second week, Mali had her very first grooming session. She's still a bit cautious in unfamiliar places, so we were quite worried, but when she came out after grooming, she looked so much neater and fresher. Her round eyes stood out even more clearly, and we found ourselves gazing at her for a long while.

Closing Thoughts
When I see the pup who used to run away now resting by my side, I truly think I made the right choice following her that day.
To those considering adoption, I'd like to say this: the awkwardness at the beginning is just a passing phase. If you wait at the dog's own pace, before you know it, you'll have become family.
I'll come back to share more of my everyday life with Malli 🐶
