While playing with other puppies, I made eye contact with a little one who glanced shyly at me and then ran away. Those round eyes and quiet, timid nature kept tugging at my heart, so I quietly followed and took photos. That little one is Mali.
Mali, who became our family member that way, is now living with us at home.
Still adjusting, Mali spends most of the time quietly indoors, and her cozy little house is her favorite spot.
Just like when we first met, she sometimes peeks at me shyly and hides, but I'm taking my time and following Mali's pace to slowly grow closer without rushing.
I'm grateful to the Brown Rescue Team adoption café and everyone involved for introducing us to Mali. I'll continue to share updates on how she opens her heart.
